About
Dr. Korman, born and raised in Norfolk, VA, has been practicing for more than 30 years in Virginia Beach focusing on comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry. In 2003, he received advanced cosmetic training at Louisiana State University, a prominent teaching center for Cosmetic Dentistry. In 1995, Dr. Korman earned both his Fellowship (FAGD) and Mastership (MAGD) through the Academy of General Dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, an achievement only 2% of dentists in the country have attained. In 1993, he completed a residency program at the University of Florida to complete specialized training in Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction and Myofacial pain. In 1982, he completed another dental residency program at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. In 1982, he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland in 1978. During the past two decades, Dr. Korman has perfected a dental technique that will likely change the practice of dentistry worldwide. In January 2014, The Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry published Dr. Korman's 15-year, clinically-based article creating worldwide recognition for his innovative technique that changes the current standard for cosmetically replacing missing teeth. Dr. Korman has since been sought-after for lecturing on his technique, including an invitation to speak at the prestigious American Academy of Restorative Dentistry's 86th annual meeting in Chicago. The AARD is comprised of the leading researchers, teachers and practitioners from around the world with a special interest in restorative dentistry.
