When I first became a patient at Genuine Smiles Dentistry, I had no complaints. The staff was courteous, and I appreciated the reminder calls for upcoming appointments. Initially, I thought this was a great dental office. However, my experience drastically changed six months later when I tried to schedule a deep cleaning. On July 7th, I called and spoke with a receptionist to provide my new insurance information, including the group number and all necessary details. She said she would contact my insurance and get back to me with an estimate. I never heard back. So, on July 11th, I followed up to check the status. I was told they were still waiting to hear from my insurance company. This seemed like an unusually long delay. On July 18th, I took the initiative to call my insurance carrier directly, assuming they were holding up the process.

To my surprise, my insurance company stated they had not received anything from the dentist office. Naturally, I was very upset to learn that the dental office had not even reached out to them. That same day, I called the office to inform them of what I had learned. A receptionist told me they would look into it and call me back. She did return the call and said I would first need to schedule an X-ray before getting a deep cleaning. She asked me to call back on July 19th to book it, as she was leaving for the day. On July 19th, I received a call from a different receptionist saying that my insurance denied coverage for the deep cleaning. I was shocked—my insurance is active and in good standing. I asked if she was using my old insurance, and she didn’t respond. Then she said she couldn’t find my new insurance in the system and asked me to text it to the office number. I was confused since this is a business line, not a mobile phone, but I sent the information anyway.

I never heard back. At this point, I am extremely disappointed in the way I was treated. This has been a frustrating and unprofessional experience. One regret is that I didn’t take down the names of each receptionist I spoke with, as I would have included them here. This experience made it clear that returning clients are not treated with the same care and attention as new ones. I will no longer continue services with this office. I urge others to be cautious and mindful of how ongoing patients are handled. Respect and proper communication should be standard for all patients—not just first-timers.

Absolutely wonderful experience at this location and would certainly recommend anyone to come here for any type of dental work. The dentist took his time with me was extra careful and made me feel like he was doing work on one of his family members.

Also the assistant Alex I cannot say enough good things about him answered every single one of my questions ( and I had a lot) and was thoughtful and knowledgeable in all his responses. Will definitely be back !

I had a fantastic experience at this dental office! From the moment I walked in, Stefanie the manager made me feel so welcome and comfortable. She’s incredibly organized, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The entire staff was professional and kind, and the dentist was gentle, thorough, and explained everything clearly.

I truly felt taken care of and will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!
