About
Dr. Kelly Lipp joined Spangler, Rohlfing and Lambert Pediatric Dentistry in July, 2019 and is thrilled to be a member of the Spangler, Rohlfing & Lambert Pediatric Dentistry team. She practices at both the Winston-Salem and Kernersville office locations. Dr. Kelly Lipp was raised in West Chester, PA and recently moved to Winston-Salem with her husband, who grew up in Hickory, NC. She attended The Pennsylvania State University for her Bachelor of Science and then the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where she was awarded her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Kelly graduated at the top of her class with distinction in research. Following dental school, Dr. Kelly attended Ohio State University College of Dentistry for her Master of Science and achieved her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Nationwide Children's Hospital. In residency, her master's thesis on pediatric dental comfort following treatment under general anesthesia was presented at the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry annual session. It won the Ralph E. MacDonald Award, an award given to the top research presentation at the conference. She is also certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Dr. Kelly and her husband, Dr. Blake Nelson, who is a general dentist, married in 2018. The couple enjoys time with her family in Wilmington and his in Hickory. They also love hiking with their Goldendoodle, Teddy, traveling, exploring local restaurants, and quality time with friends. Dr. Kelly has a "bucket list" goal of visiting all 61 National Parks. Closer to home, she can often be found painting and has recently become interest in restoring old furniture.
