Started with WNY dental in 2019 prior to Covid. My teeth were in bad shape back then from years of issues and being scared of the dentist. In the past I have had horrible dental experiences so I stayed away from dental visits. During Covid, WNY dental did a lot of major work on my teeth and for the most part all the work was good. However; there was a root canal done on one tooth and they scheduled a cleaning in between the root being taken out and it getting filled. The tooth cracked either during the cleaning or right after. Why was a cleaning scheduled in between the root work? As a result I needed to have the tooth extracted and an implant put in. Thousands of dollars later due to this with no admission of that course of action being a risk of cracking the tooth. Now to recent issues. I had a different implant procedure done and my employment changed dental insurance providers over the turn of the new year. As a result, I was stuck with a $700 bill from what work was left to do in the new year of 2024 from the 2023 tooth extraction. I had never received a physical bill all of 2024 for this matter. About Thanksgiving time 2024, I received call from WNY dental demanding the $700 immediately or they will drop me as a patient.

This is how they came at me from the first call to them regarding the billing inquiry. Very unprofessional and greedy. I asked to be mailed a copy of the bill as I had never seen it or even known about the change in service provider. I had no idea of the outstanding $700 balance and attempted to have them work with me on paying the balance down. I got a primary response of no. I need to pay the full balance or be cancelled as a patient. $700 out of the blue during the Xmas season and being overwhelmed with bills and buying Xmas gifts and many other medical bills. I asked again upon the denial of a monthly payment plan and they offered for paying off in 2 payments or if paid immediately, and they would get rid of $200 due from the balance. I had a major surgery in 2023 and was left with about $3,000 out of pocket in medical bills for the surgery. I worked with the hospital and the doctor's office to make small monthly payments of $100 until the balance is paid off. It will take about 3 years to pay the $3,000 balance. I pleaded with WNY for a better payment plan and they refused and cancelled me as a patient immediately. Very greedy and money grubbing outfit.

No reason they could not have offered me a $100/month payment plan or even $50/month considering the circumstances of being hit out of the blue with their $700 balance. WNY dental does okay work, but if they make a mistake or a bad decision, forget about it. They are never wrong. Amazing how they are the only outfit or personnel on the entire planet that never make any mistakes or own their mistakes (which they apparently never make). You would be wise to look elsewhere for a good dentist office. All is fine until it isn't and they deny and turn on you. No wonder the healthcare industry is hated by us common people and dentists. . . what else is there to say. They are hated for a reason. They are greediest of the medical professions.

Took off and went in for an early appointment. I had my cleaning done and was then informed that Doctor no showed for my appointment and I would not receive an exam "so I'll have to reschedule the exam". This was my initial appointment with them and I won't be rescheduling.
