(READ THIS — NOT A 4-STAR REVIEW) Only giving this 4 stars so it shows at the top. If I could give -20 stars I would. This is one of TWO horrible experiences I’ve had with American Dental Solutions, and this one pushed me over the edge. I scheduled an appointment to see an oral surgeon for my wisdom teeth, which have been causing me serious pain. I called multiple times beforehand to confirm everything — time, location, and that I would be seeing an actual surgeon. Each time, I was assured everything was correct. I drove over 1 hour and 45 minutes ONE WAY to the Trappe location for this appointment. The plan was to meet with the oral surgeon that day, and come back the following morning for the extraction. When I arrived, I was stunned. Turns out, there was no oral surgeon there. I was seen by a regular dentist who did absolutely nothing except give me a referral — something I could’ve gotten over email or from any walk-in. I actually thought he was joking when he told me that’s all he could do.

He was short-tempered, dismissive, and didn’t seem to care that I was clearly in pain. The only respectful people were the receptionist and assistant who walked me to the back. Everyone else? Either rude or just didn’t care. Their call center is completely useless. Most of the time they don’t answer, and when they do, they sound like they don’t even know what’s going on. You get passed around, given wrong info, and basically left to figure it all out yourself. This was my second bad experience with this company. Shame on me for giving them another chance — but never again. If you’re in pain or looking for serious treatment, STAY FAR AWAY from American Dental Solutions. Completely disorganized, unprofessional, and unreliable. I’ll be canceling all future appointments and telling everyone I know to avoid this business. Update — Response to Julia: Julia, I’m not wasting my time calling or speaking to another staff member.

I’ve already wasted hours dealing with this facility and this joke of a business — I’m not wasting another second. There’s no need to “look me up in your system. ” I know exactly what happened — and so do you. I confirmed my appointment multiple times, drove 1 hour and 45 minutes one way in pain, and was told by a rude, unprofessional dentist that there was “nothing he could do. ” I wasn’t seen by the oral surgeon I was scheduled for — just handed a generic referral I could’ve Googled in five minutes. Your office wasted my time, gas, and energy. The miscommunication, disorganization, and total lack of accountability are inexcusable. The front desk staff and the employee who walked me back to the office were the only kind and helpful people I interacted with. Everyone else made the experience worse. I’ve already moved on to a real provider who values their patients. Fix your broken system — and hire competent people. – AKhan

I visited both the Lancaster and Lititz locations of American Dental Solutions and was extremely disappointed. I had switched from my original dentist only because his practice no longer accepted my insurance, but I quickly regretted the change. American Dental Solutions felt more like a cash-grab than a place for genuine dental care. They recommended a long list of expensive and unnecessary procedures that would have cost me thousands of dollars—even after insurance coverage. Thankfully, I went back to my original dentist for a second opinion.

He confirmed that most of the recommended work wasn’t needed. His pricing—even without insurance—was a fraction of what American Dental Solutions quoted. I would strongly advise others to get a second opinion before agreeing to any treatment here. It’s unfortunate when dental offices prioritize profit over patient trust.

The hygienist who cleaned my teeth explained everything very well, including tips for cleaning my " difficult to reach" areas. She offered me a floride treatment. I have always had issues with my teeth, but this was the first time anyone ever suggested this treatment. I feel this should at least be offered, if appropriate, and educate the patient about the pros and cons.

I have already scheduled a treatment at my next cleaning. The staff here is skilled and they make you very comfortable. I recommend this practice.

They were all great and helpful. Got me in the next day after being diagnosed with a fractured tooth. Others were only going to get me in 3 weeks from now. Explained everything during from price to procedure . The staff in the Lancaster and Dr. Fontana were the best.

My father has used the Hamburg office and is also very pleased with their service. Would not haste to go there again. Also took my insurance . Office very clean.
