I had a poor experience at this dental office today. The dental hygienist was kind, professional, and did a great job cleaning my teeth. Unfortunately, my interaction with the dentist was less positive. She immediately started putting down the appearance of my teeth and asked rude, leading questions.

She was trying to upsell me on Tend’s orthodontic services. It left me feeling uncomfortable and like I was being sold to, rather than cared for. I don’t think she was professional.

Went in yesterday for a check-up and cleaning, and the whole experience was seamless from start to finish. I was able to fill out my forms on my phone beforehand, and was greeted and seated right away upon arrival. The office is clean and spacious, and the staff were all friendly and professional.

Shoutout to Asoya who explained the insurance details thoroughly, Thora, the super personable hygienist, and Dr. Tsang, who was incredibly meticulous. Great experience overall—highly recommend!

I had a good experience during my visit, but when it came time to schedule my cavity fillings I was extremely disappointed. I received a quote before I had dental insurance. Then I got dental insurance, sent it to Tend, and was told it was being processed and that I’d get an updated quote once the insurance was processed. A few weeks went by so I called again and was told they had no dental insurance on file. So I sent it in again.

They told me they’d call back in a few days when it was processed. They never called. So I called again, they said they have it on file but they can’t give me an updated quote until I book the appointment (and in order to book, you need to make a down payment) I explained that I didn’t want to book the appointment without knowing the price after insurance. They said there’s no way they can give me the price before I book the appointment. That’s not what I’d been told previously.

It also took days to get responses via email, and any time I called, I was told to email. I wound up finding another dentist and will not be returning to Tend.
